Following their successful 139-show run of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Activa Productions presents its second musical production, NEXT TO NORMAL, a groundbreaking Broadway rock musical which garnered 11 Tony Award nominations and went on to become the 8th musical in history to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Set in a seemingly ordinary American suburban household, the story delves beneath the facade of "normalcy" to reveal a struggling family, and themes such as grief, suicide, substance abuse, and the controversies surrounding modern psychiatry. Pushing the boundaries of musical theater, NEXT TO NORMAL is a breathtaking, captivating, and heart-wrenching work. Featuring a live orchestra, directed by Carolyn Sun in collaboration with Music Director Yu-Mei Chang, this version promises an unforgettable experience to the audience.
