Envisioning sound flowing through space, sound paths radiating in all directions, outlining images and colors. The utterly abstract sounds metamorphosing into imagery amidst its flow, intertwining multiple senses into ineffable sensations.
Reverberation of Illusions unfolds within the unconventional art space, the Tutu Gallery at the National Taichung Theater. It merges immersive projection and a multi-channel speaker setup, crafting an audio-visual symphony where sound and light traverse and flow amidst the curved wall architecture. Throughout the performance, audio analysis and algorithms will be utilized; at times, sound propels the motion of imagery, while at others, algorithms translate imagery into sound. As sound and imagery intertwine, the audience embarks on a fantastical journey, fully immersed in the encompassing blend of sound and visuals within the enclosed space, igniting a synesthetic experience across multiple senses—seeing sound, hearing colors.
NTT Artist-in-Residence YEH Ting-hao has specially invited Golden Melody Award-winning producer CHENG Ko-chun to perform live electronic music, accompanied by real-time visual generation. Through the reciprocal transformation of electronic signals between sound and imagery, a site-specific audio-visual concert is immediately brought to life.
