Echoes of a Decade
12/14(Sun)14:30
The Wohlklang chamber music ensemble consists of four friends returning to their homeland: flutist Hsin-Mei Pan, oboist An-Chi Chung, violist Wen-Chieh Huang, and pianist Chien-I Yang. The name "Wohlklang," derived from German, means "pleasant and harmonious sound." This ensemble uniquely blends wind instruments, strings, and piano, creating a distinct sonic palette.
This concert will feature a selection of diverse pieces, including Saglietti’s “Weekend in Tokyo,” which portrays the traditional and contemporary scenes of Tokyo through melody; Krughartdt’s “Schilflieder,” which embodies a poetic and fantastical atmosphere; the vibrant and rhythmically distinct “Sukarlan Trio”; and Piazzolla’s classic tango masterpiece “The Four Seasons.” Through the careful interpretation of the four musicians, the beauty of these works will be vividly recreated.
Additionally, a special commission from renowned composer Chung-Yuan Yu, titled “Blossoming,” reflects the musicians' journey together over the past decade, highlighting their support and growth. From campus beginnings to the music scene, they have cultivated deep emotional connections and achieved exceptional synergy, creating a resonant masterpiece of chamber music.
