An energy breakup crisis resolved by body movement.
LU Tzu-han has devoted herself in green energy and sustainable participatory practice for years. Working with the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, National Chung Hsing University, “energy floors” were designed for this performance to allow the dancers to power the entire show through their movements, enabling a zero-carbon, participatory performance in line with the international trend of sustainable theater. The work converts the invisible energy of the dancers into visible light which triggers the musical instruments to play and then the performers receive the cue to dance to the music. The cycle of energy is thus formed to accomplish an un-plugged show which beckons to the audience to engage in the co-creation process.
