Since 2013, guitarists Dean McDaniel Keith and Sun Chia Wei have collaborated to explore the infinite possibilities of the guitar duo, earning first prize in the Ensemble Category of the 2015 Taiwan Guitar Competition.

This concert features a repertoire spanning from the Baroque era to the contemporary period, showcasing the rich and versatile charm of the guitar. The program includes selections from Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s 24 Preludes and Fugues, which offer vivid musical textures through sophisticated counterpoint. The arrangement of the Marcello/Bach Concerto in D Minor transforms the grandeur of keyboard music into a unique guitar idiom. Cuban composer Leo Brouwer’s Beatles Suite offers a refreshing take on classic melodies, reimagined through a modern musical lens. The performance also features the fiery passion of Piazzolla’s tangos, the vibrant Brazilian rhythms of Bellinati, and several elegant works by European composers.
