Nocturnal Poetry From German-Austrian Romanticism to Taiwanese Modern Songs Selections
07/25(Fri)19:30
Franz Schubert (1797-1828) was a leading figure of German-Austrian Romantic music, renowned worldwide for his songs, piano works, and chamber music. His male choral works also hold a significant position. This performance by the "Tao Yun Men's Choir," themed "Poetry of the Night," features a selection of Schubert's late male choral works in the first half, and contemporary Taiwanese male choral compositions in the second half. This program showcases a dialogue between German-Austrian Romantic themes and modern Taiwanese choral works, interpreting both natural and humanistic sentiments.
