Guest conductor Kai-Hsi Fan and the HSO String Orchestra team up at the National Taichung Theater for a moving string dialogue. The concert opens with Judith Lang Zaimont's Elegy for Symphonic Strings, evoking deep contemplation. Next, James Stephenson's Concerto for English Horn and Strings, featuring soloist Ya-Ni Cheng, showcases the woodwind's warm, velvety texture. The program culminates in Arnold Schoenberg's masterpiece, Verklärte Nacht, transforming emotional struggle into a light of redemption. Join us at the theater to experience this profound resonance born of bow and string.
