Introduction
Hommage à ces maîtres - this title comes from Tchaikovsky's piano trio, which was dedicated to mourn the death of Nikolai Rubinstein. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of Shostakovich's death. At this concert, pianist Thomas PAN will play Les Saisons by Tchaikovsky and selected Preludes and Fugues by Shostakovich - the two most renowned masters of Russian music history - to commemorative the free artistic souls under the totalitarian regime.
