This summer, Dacon.come is going to poke and pop your deepest fears—abusive lover, controlling parents, horror films, chilling fairytales, spooky stories—as you giggle, chuckle, crack up and roar with laughter. After its premiere in 2019 received rave reviews, Creepy or Happy? is going to make a hilarious comeback in 2022 as fans across Taiwan just can’t get enough of it. This time, Dacon.come is going to take the show to a whole new level with a mob of fellow Taiwanese comedians, featuring a variety of forms like Japanese style double act comedy (Manzai), sketch comedy, a comic musical and an improvised quiz show which is definitely not going to leave the audience alone. Are you ready to laugh your mask off with Dacon.come? 

Director & Performer / Dacon.come (CHEN Yen-da, HE Rui-kang)

The comedy duo Dacon.come is formed by Ah-ta and Kang-kang. An odd stage couple with comical height contrast—one short and stubby, the other tall and lanky—the pair has been performing standup and Taiwanese-flavored Japanese manzai for more than a decade. Ah-ta, or CHEN Yen-da, became a comedian in 2007 and has made multiple TV commercials. Kang-kang, or HE Rui-kang, started his career as a comedy actor/artist in 2008 while joggling other different roles as songwriter/singer and tip-tap dancer.
 

Co-Creator & Performer / TSAO Yu

Possessing both masculine and feminine charms, TSAO freely moves on the gender spectrum. She self-deprecatingly attributes her non-binary trait to a long overdue sexual maturity rather than androgyny. In his/her long, hard and futile search for a manzai partner, TSAO unwittingly acquired the moniker “loner TSAO”, probably a result of her widely known habit of dozing off pre-performance.
 

Showtime Fool Comedy Company

The company was founded in 2013 with Ah-ta (CHEN Yen-da) as the company head and Kang-kang (HE Rui-kang) as the company director. The mission is to promote creative works and performances in the form of manzai, a Japanese form of comedy. It also seeks to explore possibilities of different comedy forms and various kinds of theater elements while still retaining a manzai spirit. Going forward, the team plans to develop manzai-based sitcom shows featuring multimedia technology to offer the audience a diverse and hilarious experience.
