An Evening of Opera Highlights
05/07(Wed)19:30
While promoting the art and culture of vocal music, this initiative serves as a bridge for both current students and graduates of the Vocal Division of Tunghai University’s Music Department, connecting them to professional stage training. This includes understanding and utilizing theater functions, rehearsing opera repertoire, and enhancing audience engagement. It provides a platform for students to apply their opera training in appropriately sized venues, ensuring the best performance experience for the performers, the university, and the audience alike.
Presented in a semi-staged opera concert format, the performance primarily features ensemble pieces and includes interactive elements designed to engage the audience. Performers wear formal concert attire and sing with minimal stage sets and props. The performance focuses on emotional , stage movement, and lighting variations. The director will collaborate with an experienced young lighting designer to create an atmosphere that aligns with the opera’s dramatic and historical essence.
