The concert presents pieces for Flute solo, including Syrinx by Debussy, Hymn of Pan by DeLaney, Chanson de Pan by Bourdin, Suite Mythologique by Leonardo de Lorenzo, as well as Pieces for Flute and Piano, including Pan Pastoral by Donjon, Pour Syrinx by Charpentier, Sonata La Flûte de Pan by Mouquet, Prélude L’aprèsmidi d’un Faune by Debussy, and Sonata Joueurs de flûte by Roussel.
Gathering the pieces from same sources of inspiration, the flutist CHEN Hui-mei wishes through the program, to invite audience to enjoy the beautiful music symbolizing the Pan and his flute from ancient Greek.
