In a near future, the Mephisto Corporation rules and monitors the world.
Its newest division, the Department of Health, offers customers mechanical organ transplants. With just a simple click on a phone, anyone can “upgrade” their body anywhere, anytime, replacing troublesome parts with ease. Clic unfolds as a retro-futuristic dystopia, a darkly humorous allegory of how algorithms shape our behavior, our desires, and even our ways of thought while reflecting on the growing dependence of humankind on the digital realm.

Blending puppetry, physical theater, and animated projection, Spain’s Trukitrek creates a hybrid experience between cinema and stage. Clic tells a contemporary Faustian tale set in a sci-fi world, asking: Will we one day be able to save our souls on a hard disk? Are we straying too far from nature? Interwoven with pop music and classic film references, the work builds a rich and captivating world that lingers long after the lights fade.
 

Trukitrek
Founded in 1988, Trukitrek blurs the boundaries between puppetry and live performance, shaping a distinctive theatrical aesthetic through its “humanette” style that fuses human and puppet forms.
Using mime techniques and inventive object play rather than spoken language, the company creates absurd comic scenes set to a musical rhythm and structured like a living comic strip. Its performances have toured to more than forty countries worldwide.
