A Japanese electronics company “sidetracked” by music, the wildly popular and eccentric band Maywa Denki redefines the boundaries of music with their self-made mechanical instruments. From a tadpole-shaped instrument that produces erhu-like sounds to an adorable cat choir that sings musical scales, and a guitar effects pedal that transforms the sound into the vocals of Hatsune Miku, their inventions are truly imaginative. This performance will also include a collaboration with the Asian AI team Hello Edo!, merging traditional Japanese festival elements with cyberpunk visuals, delivering an unparalleled audiovisual experience.
