The 2025 tour plan of the St.Cecilia United String Orchestra has invited two top Japanese performers to perform on the same stage; Hiroshi Ikematsu, principal double bass of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and violinist Kei Shira will perform Schubert's string quintet and Bottesini's violin and double bass concerto, showing the varied sounds of string instruments and superb playing techniques, breaking the previous stereotype of the double bass, which is amazing.
