CHEN Tai-cheng Piano Recital
03/11(Tue)19:30
Since his debut concerto performance in 1964, six decades have swiftly passed. As one of Taiwan’s most distinguished first-generation pianists, Taicheng Chen has transcended the limitations of youthful naivety to achieve remarkable maturity. Like a fine wine, he has aged gracefully, and the passage of time has imbued his musical interpretations with unique insight and a profound connection to life’s essence. His performances now deeply resonate with the soul.
This program features Bach’s Partita No. 6 and Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 110, both masterpieces representing the pinnacle of their composers’ work. Mozart’s Sonata K. 330, composed in mourning for his mother, serves as a reflection of the pianist’s own inner world. Through these pieces, Chen conveys deep emotions from the depths of the soul, sharing an intimate narrative through the eloquence of his piano playing.
