River Journey is inspired by HUANG Chih-chun’s fourth trip to India, the birth place of the Buddah, in 2001. During this journey, HUANG, an actor, drumming Master, compos- er, choreographer, and Music Director of U-Theatre, wrote many poems, letters to his wife and children and to U-The- atre’s members. His many observations – whether on the street, down by the river, on a crowded train, or even a field in front of a rustic lodge – formed the basis for reflections, on the past and future creations. Little by little, these words, come to form the core of the poetic River Journey.
