Miaobei Art Center Someday Over the Rainbow
07/18(Sat)14:3007/19(Sun)14:30
Every bold step we take is, in the end, to protect those we hold dear.
Aunt Jinlai, who lives alone in the mountain town of Miaoli, devises a plan with the local village chief to create a mysterious treasure map, hoping to draw her grandson Ziqiang back from the United States and reconnect him with his musical aspirations. Yet what begins as a carefully staged plan soon leads him to uncover a long-forgotten chapter of his family’s past, awakening memories of those he has lost.
Blending tender family bonds, a moving love story, and the warmth of everyday neighborhood life, the musical invites audiences to let light into the heart and rediscover moments that linger in memory.
Spanning three generations, the story follows two young people in pursuit of their dreams, caught between tradition and modernity. When the rainbow appears, love and compassion quietly come into alignment.

Miaobei Art Center
Established by the Miaoli County Government, Miaobei Art Center aims to promote balanced regional development while creating a cultural space where art, everyday life, and leisure intersect. The Center serves as a platform for integrating cultural resources across northern Miaoli, enriching the local arts environment, and bringing the region’s distinctive cultural identity to a wider international audience. It also fosters cultural exchange by engaging with both cross-strait and global artistic practices, positioning Miaoli as a vibrant place to experience cultural life.
Recognizing that the arts encompass not only visual and performing presentations but also the lived experience of audiences, the Center’s development is guided by three key visions: “Discovering Miaoli,” “Connecting Taiwan,” and “Engaging the World.” These are supported by four core values: professional service, operational excellence, digital innovation, and brand development, ensuring a more strategic and sustainable approach to the Center’s future growth.
