Slovenian contemporary choral music has been splendorous and radiant. During the progressions of the complex harmonies shaped by spellbinding compositional techniques, listeners are put into an immersive environment, as if Doctor Strange’s portal has opened, and brought the audience to another world. And among the pioneers advocating for modern choral music in Slovenia, master Ambrož Čopi stands as a leading figure.

This production will feature several of Čopi’s pieces, styles ranging from the European Renaissance choral tradition to timeless romantic music. Ching-Yun Choir hopes to embody the essence of European choral music with the unique tone of contemporary Slovenia choral music.

The concert will be a joint performance with the Tunghai University Alumini Chor.
