Music and language share a deep, intrinsic connection, with poetry being the most beautiful of language. The collaboration between poets and composers transforms beautiful words into captivating music, touching the hearts of listeners. During his tenure as the Director of the Taichung City Cultural Bureau, poet Lu Hansiu gathered fifty writers, each contributing a poem inspired by a landmark, showcasing Taichung's rich cultural heritage. The collection, Walking Poems—Fifty Landscape Poems for Taichung, became the source of inspiration for this concert. TACC selected poems from this book and invited young composers to create music that complements each poet's unique style. Through the performance of Singing Songs of Our Taichung, we aim to express our deep love and blessings for our hometown, sharing our heartfelt connection to the land.
