Local Embodiment
04/11(Sat)19:30
Local Embodiment is the graduation performance of the BFA in Dance at the National Taiwan University of Arts, bringing together a new generation of young dancers from across Taiwan. Shaped by diverse backgrounds, bodies, and artistic voices, the performance explores locally rooted bodily languages while opening dynamic conversations with international choreographic perspectives.
The program features Zero Body by acclaimed Japanese choreographer Toru Shimazaki, alongside original works created by the students themselves. Together, these pieces capture the pulse of a generation navigating a rapidly transforming world—seeking, through movement, their own “local” rhythms, landscapes, and futures in dance.
