【The Prequel of hero Tāi-kiap Pik-tshó-ong-The Young Hero Pik-tshó-êr】

The play The Great Hero Tāi-kiap Pik-tshó-ong originates from the work of the storytelling master WU Tian-lai in 1953. In 1961, the first-generation leader of Guang Xing Ge, ZHENG Wu-xiong, rewrote it based on this character, successfully creating Guang Xing Ge's own Tāi-kiap Pik-tshó-ong, which became a representative work performed in indoor theaters.

Under ZHENG Wu-xiong's hand, "Tāi-kiap Pik-tshó-ong" had over 3,000 scripts but did not clearly explain Pik-tshó-ong's youth. Therefore, we hope to use The Prequel of Tāi-kiap Pik-tshó-ong as the theme, starting from his growth to develop the story. By involving experienced directors and professional scriptwriters from modern theater, we aim to develop new scripts and usher in a new era of Guang Xing Ge's Golden Light puppet show.
