Unspoken Memories Piano Quintet Concert
06/17(Wed)19:30
Some memories have no sound, yet they resurface at certain moments, carried by music.
Unspoken Memories weaves together emotional trajectories across different eras through three piano quintet works. The restrained tension written by Shostakovich in a time of oppression, the warm, earth-scented melodies of Dvořák, and the Taiwanese composer Wu Hsiu-Ping’s contemplation of time and memory shaped through a minimalist language.
Between the classical and the contemporary, the program invites the audience to listen to what remains unfinished and unheard. As the melodies continue to flow, memories gradually emerge within them, allowing us to once again sense the direction in which time moves forward.
