In a world long past the age of knights, he mounts his frail horse, raises his lance, and charges at windmills and sheep he imagines as towering giants and armies. Creators HSIUNG Shih-hsiang and HUNG Yi-po have reimagined this classic tale, blending Unity game engine, interactive design, and AI-generated technology to create an immersive experience. Through live actors and digital imagery, the audience’s perspective shifts between reality and imagination, exploring a tech-driven fantasy world. Written 400 years ago, Don Quijote is one of the first metafictional works in Western literature. Its hero, consumed by chivalric ideals, becomes both a tragic figure and a symbol of resistance against fate. Today, modern media offer new pathways for imagination, and we all carry a trace of Don Quijote’s spirit. Ready to join on the adventure?

Creator and Director / HSIUNG Shih-hsiang

Born in 1995, HSIUNG Shih-hsiang graduated from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and studied in the Graduate Institute of Dance at Taipei National University of the Arts. His works, spanning dance, theater, performance art, and film, have won several awards, including the Taoyuan Technology Performing Arts Award and the Taipei Fringe Festival Innovation Award. HSIUNG has also participated in residencies at Silpakorn University, ITRI Technology Lab, and LAB X. Known for blending the extraordinary with the everyday, he guides audiences through immersive journeys into the deeper layers of life’s phenomena.

HUNG Yi-po graduated from the Creative Media Design division of the Department of Communications Design of Shih Chien University. He is a street dancer, freelancer, and a member of the dance group “Kuang.” His work integrates street dance with technology and art, extending into dance videos and music production. HUNG excels in exploring the boundaries and limitations between technology and the human body, mastering both their possibilities and impossibilities.
