Bringing together artists from Taiwan and France, *Mind & Illusion: A Sonic Realm* takes the concept of an “amusement park” as its point of departure, with contemporary music at its core. Five new commissioned works will receive their world premieres, bringing together the ancient Eastern sheng, the saxophone born in the modern West, and electronic sounds shaped by 21st-century technology. Within the same performance space, these distinct sonic languages encounter one another, creating a dialogue across cultures, eras, and artistic media.

Rather than simply sitting and listening, audiences are invited to follow the movement of sound and light, journeying between consciousness and representation, time and space, and entering a sonic amusement park suspended between reality and imagination.

Blending contemporary music, technological art, and theatrical elements, the project breaks down the boundaries between stage and audience. Each performance becomes a unique, immersive experience in which every act of listening contributes to the creation of an ever-changing soundscape.
