More Than a Recital: A Holographic Feast Born in the Moment

Pianist-composer Chia-Chen Chiang opens with works by Bach and Chopin, alongside her own prelude and fugue, culminating in the premiere of a new work from her Berlin residency. Rooted in classical tradition, the second half expands into real-time composition through improvisation, poetry, audiovisual interaction, and audience participation.

In Chiang’s improvisation, structure and freedom become one, intertwining like the voices of a fugue and emerging naturally in real time.
