Dancing Cubism
10/19(Sat)19:30
Dancing Cubism adopts the cross-border performance of "Video, Dance, Hand-painting" to perform the concept of Cubism from the master artist Pablo Picasso. Several sets of cubic canvas frames are combined to form a large-scale stage installation. Through the dancers' pushing, rotating, and stacking, the choreographers, who have the ability of artistic hand-painting, can paint on the moving canvas, and even randomly select an audience to come on stage to doodle with the choreographers. This art piece challenges the virtual hand-painted lines, physical dynamics, and video projections. Under the influence of multiple variables, challenging spontaneous improvisation, makes this show the first innovative performance form of "an art gallery made of dance" in Taiwan.
