2026 NTT+ The Young Artists' Atelier – Interdisciplinary Dance Program

Learning x Practice x Professional Communication
National Taichung Theater (NTT) is dedicated to exploring the convergence between performing arts and technology, actively fostering innovative interdisciplinary artistic dialogues. Since 2020, NTT has launched the “LAB X Arts Interdisciplinary Platform” (hereinafter referred to as LAB X), connecting resources from Taiwan and abroad to create a professional environment for cross-disciplinary exchange. LAB X offers opportunities for creators to experiment with and implement their artistic concepts, while international symposiums and art-tech courses serve as channels for in-depth exchange and creative inspiration.
Within the framework of LAB X, “The Young Artists’ Atelier” (hereinafter referred to as the Program) focuses on nurturing creators aged 30 or under. It encourages experimentation, dedicated learning, and exploration. Through mentorship from field experts and comprehensive support in both software and hardware from NTT, the Program aims to enhance participants’ professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration capabilities, laying a solid foundation for long-term artistic careers.
Each year, the Program highlights different creative fields. In 2026, the focus will be on two core themes: Interdisciplinary Dance and Extended Reality (XR). The mentors for the Interdisciplinary Dance focus are HSIEH Chieh-hua, Artistic Director of Anarchy Dance Theatre, together with media artist HUANG Wei-hsuan. Through hands-on guidance and creative companionship, the Program aims to broaden perspectives, strengthen the research and practical capabilities of young creators, and stimulate creative momentum, gradually shaping forward-looking artistic viewpoints.
