WU Ping-sheng╳Andy CHIU╳Jie LIOU The Boundary of Sense
05/18(Sat)14:3005/18(Sat)19:3005/19(Sun)14:30
Subvert sensory perception and experience the purest audiovisual impact.
When we lose the light of day, we gain the darkness of night.
In sound artist WU Ping-sheng’s view, whether in physical or spiritual terms, what we “sense” is built upon a cycle of taking and giving back. We construct our understanding of the universe and our surroundings by incorporating what we “sense” into knowledge.
In The Boundary of Sense, WU Ping-sheng and noted DJ Andy CHIU join forces with multimedia designer Jie LIOU in a reimagining of theatrical audio and visual effects, allowing audiences to roam about on a stage brought to life with AI and animation, creating a sensation of “one for all and all for one.”

Creator/Jie LIOU
Jie LIOU is an animation director, graphic designer, and the founder of Floating Point Art. From his vantage point centered on visual concepts and motion graphics, he has constantly developed new ways of integrating audiovisual elements in performances, with a keen sense for constructing 3D spaces and hyper-photorealistic details. Building upon an obsession with sci-fi imagination, he tries to seek out the philosophic and semiotic elements of visual imagery. He has produced animated advertisements and corporate videos for clients including Gogoro, ASUS, OPPO, Xiaomi, MSI, and ViewSonic.
