【POSTPONED】2021 NTT-TIFA Adrien M & Claire B Acqua Alta
2021/03/26(Fri)~2021/03/28(Sun)
Program Reschedule
Due to the global impact of the COVID-19, this program will be rescheduled to the future season.
This is a fantastical story about a woman, a man, a house.
The absurd daily routines of the man and woman are turned upside down one rainy day: the woman disappears in the flood, with only her hair remaining - and it is alive. A tale of disaster both unique and universal, Acqua Alta tells of losing and searching, of fear of the bizarre and otherness, and how to tame it.
In this production, the Lyon-based digital art company Adrien M & Claire B present the same story in three different formats: Acqua Alta - Ink black, combining movement and living digital images on stage; Acqua Alta - Crossing the Mirror, a book whose contents are only visible in augmented reality; and Acqua Alta - Tête-à-tête, an immersive virtual reality experience.

Choreography & Performance / Satchie Noro
The French-born dancer Satchie Noro first began her training with her father, an Aikido master, before turning to classical ballet. After a short stay at the Deutsche Oper Berlin when she was 16, she became active in the local alternative dance scene as a choreographer and performer. After learning aerial techniques at the Les Noctambules circus school in Nanterre, she founded her own ensemble Furinkaï, and since 2016 has been co-director of Les Noctambules. Satchie Noro has been active as a dancer and circus performer with Adrien M & Claire B and many other artists.
Choreography & Performance / Dimitri Hatton
Dimitri Hatton is an innovative clown and visual comedy artist, having studied at the Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique in Orléans and the Centre National des Arts du Cirque in Chalons-en-Champagne, France. Since 2001, he has created his own shows in a unique style that mixes visual comedy, clown art, object manipulation, absurd humor and improvisation. In his work, the shared vulnerabilities of mankind are transformed into a constant source of laughter, transcending borders and languages. As an actor and director, Dimitri Hatton regularly works with ensembles including the Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 Doigts de la Main.
Original Music / Olivier Mellano
Olivier Mellano is a French musician, composer, improviser, writer and guitarist who has played in over fifty groups since the beginning of the nineties, including Psykick Lyrikah, Mobiil, Bed, Laetitia Shéri and Dominique A. His musical work has appeared in cinematic, theatrical, dance and literary contexts; as an author, he published his first book in 2008. His broad-ranging, meticulous compositional style draws on the legacies of Carlo Gesualdo, Henry Purcell, Benjamin Britten, Gavin Bryars, Moondog and György Ligeti, with a unique musical aesthetic which breaks down stylistic hierarchies in works spanning ambitious pop music to unabashed contemporary music.
