Introduction

Tiger Tale is an engaging family-friendly dance performance by the Barrowland Ballet from UK. It tells the story of a family struggling with communication—a daughter who longs for someone to play with; a mother who has forgotten what it's like to go outside; a father frustrated by the monotony of their daily routine—and their lives being turned upside down when a tiger barges in. It’s chaotic but brilliantly funny as the tiger reignites the family’s love for one another. The stage evolves from a dull space to a vibrant, energetic, and colorful world of music, sweeping the audience away to a sensory adventure.

Playful Tiger, for young people with complex needs and their family, is a highly sensory, interactive and inclusive performance designed for young children who experience the most barriers to access theater. Playfulness within the work creates space for live response between the participant and performer, with its adaptable approach allowing the individuality of each child to be celebrated.
