A father waits for his son to join him in a long-anticipated journey together, yet the son never shows up.

A father reluctant to express his loneliness, and a son stuck in the rat race of life - bursting out each and every absence in each other’s life, struggling in tumultuous emotions that ripples in their hearts.

Cooperated by the director, playwright and actor Daniel WANG and the phenomenal theater actor LUO Bei-an, this play presents a touching emotion between the father and the son. Separated by the huge transparent tank on the stage, the father and the son search for the intersection of life fragments in silence and monologue. Through exposing the most private family affections of Daniel himself, he leads the audience to explore the intimate but also alienated kinship between families in modern world.

Established in 2006 and led by the theater director FU Hong-zheng, M.O.V.E. Theatre explores the aesthetics of physical theater through movement, observation and experiment. With the support of principal artists including TUNG I-fen, LIN Kuei-ju and Daniel WANG from theater, music, and dance fields, M.O.V.E. Theatre has delivered interdisciplinary works covering literature, myth, history and social reality. It expects to exchange, expand and transform the mutual contemplation between performers and audiences through creation and sharing, and endeavors to reveal the mental state of contemporary people through poetic theatrical speech.
