Lisztomania 李斯特之狂 劉天恩鋼琴獨奏會
03/29(五)19:30
The genius of Liszt and his contribution to piano music had long been (and unfortunately so) overlooked, even by today's standards. The bulk of modern piano technique had come from the piano music of Chopin and Liszt – no major innovations have been made since; yet the programming of Chopin's music is all but too familiar while that of Liszt's are almost completely neglected – but why? In this second part of a series of Liszt lecture-recitals we shall continue to explore the magic and mysteries in Liszt's treatment of other composers' works, examining Schubert's Lieder, the Concert Paraphrase of Verdi's Rigoletto and a direct transcription of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony.
