美國現代音樂先驅、自學天才作曲家哈利．帕奇，窮其一生追求音樂的無限可能，他不願受限於古典音律規則，自創獨特的43微分音階，並自製藝術品般的各式奇特樂器，透過無法歸類的獨特作品，反映對於社會的困惑與不滿。
 

《進擊的狂想》是帕奇最具代表性的大型音樂劇場作品，創作靈感來自日本能劇與非洲衣索比亞傳說，1969年首演後沉寂，2013年由歐陸音樂劇場鬼才導演郭貝爾加入當代語彙重新打造現代版本，並在打擊樂家麥可辛納與德國音樂工廠樂團的協助下，重現所有奇巧樂器。舞台佈滿前衛器樂裝置，穿著奇裝異服的演出者穿梭於無特定時空的迷幻異境，震撼樂聲與呢喃人聲交錯對話，看似隨興卻又如此精準的感官饗宴，即將首次呈現於亞洲觀眾眼前！

Modern American music pioneer, Harry Partch, spent his life exploring musical possibilities. Rejecting classical temperaments and using an array of self-built instruments, Partch composed a series of soundscapes which blend a Japanese ghost story of a murderer who confronts the ghost of his victim with an African comedy involving a goatherd and a deaf tramp. Delusion of the Fury is brought to the stage by legendary director and composer Heiner Goebbels and the contemporary music innovators, Ensemble Musikfabrik, who have painstakingly recreated Partch's one-of-a-kind instruments to faithfully bring you this vision. This piece of musical theater can only be described as out of this world.
