菱形立舞的《4》與不同維度的《8》 有限制才能觸摸極限 是舞非舞的視野震撼

2008年創團的陶身體劇場，憑著獨特創新和挑戰身體極限的肢體語言，橫掃世界各大藝術節，並獲倫敦沙德勒之井劇院評選為「新浪潮藝術家」，贏得全球舞蹈界一致驚嘆讚賞。陶身體劇場藝術總監陶冶以數字命名「數位系列」舞作，以此風格獨樹一格，跳脫刻板存在的身體律動。不僅打破觀眾對文字及舞作間實象及抽象的思維連結，讓每個觀眾直視肢體本質，用自己的瞬間感受詮釋舞作。

《4》：快速變換下帶著秩序性的菱形陣行，舞者們彼此平衡在舞台陣行各自獨立迴旋展現，主題動作循環如同殘影般，創造出是真亦是幻的肢體視覺。

《8》：「直線三部曲」的最後一部，承接著《6》、《7》，作品《8》延續編舞家數位系列的創作思路，透過挖掘運動邏輯、重複疊加過程，從而呈現出身體的美學，探索在限制中產生的可能性。

TAO Dance Theatre was founded in 2008 by Beijing-based choreographer TAO Ye and ever since TAO has taken the dance world by storm. TAO’s ritualistic aesthetic combines with the rigor and exploration of contemporary expression to create hypnotic and mesmerizing works that represent cutting edge of creativity.

In “4”, four dancers appear to be moved by a magnetic wave, pulling them apart and drawing them together without ever touching. They are accompanied by the music of Chinese Indie-folk-rock composer Xiao He, who also collaborates on “8”, TAO’s newest creation and the final section of the Straight Line Trilogy (preceded by “6” and “7”). “8” sees the eight dancers lying down instead of standing, restricting their bodies to the floor and limiting their movements to the range of their spines.
