楊淑媛 Sophia YANG
鋼琴家 Pianist
擁有紐約市立大學鋼琴演奏博士、紐約曼哈頓音樂院鋼琴演奏碩士及學士學位。曾師事俄裔鋼琴大師Arkady Aronov及國際知名鋼琴演奏家Agustin Anievas。１９９７年博士畢業後即獲聘於香港浸會大學音樂系專任助理教授，並擔任音樂系演奏組主任。２００１年於香港大會堂劇院、台北國家演奏廳舉辦個人獨奏會首演之後，便定期於港台兩地舉辦各類型古典音樂會。曾以獨奏家身分與台北長榮交響樂團及中國深圳交響樂團合作演出。近年來熱衷於室內樂，合作對象包括香港愛樂管弦樂團、香港小交響樂團及香港城市室內樂團的首席音樂家。曾多次為香港特區政府康樂及文化事務署舉辦的音樂會系列節目中演出，包括《蕭邦２００週年紀念音樂會》、《德步西１５０週年紀念音樂會》、《音樂顯才華》及《香港大會堂樂萃》等等。今年年初首度赴倫敦為St. Mary at Hill 系列音樂會中演出。
出生於台灣屏東，十一歲起陸續於台灣區少年、青少年及成人組鋼琴比賽中獲獎。以鋼琴演奏第一名成績畢業於台北市立師專音樂科（現為台北市立大學）。在校期間隨郭淑慈教授習琴。目前於香港浸會大學音樂系兼任鋼琴及室內樂教師，曾為香港電台錄製古典音樂會節目，現為香港鋼琴音樂協會理事，多次為香港本地及國際鋼琴比賽擔任評審。

Since her debut solo recitals in 2001 at Hong Kong City Hall Theatre and Taipei National Recital Hall, Yang's concert engagements had brought her to Shanghai Grand Theater, Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall and Taipei National Concert Hall, among others. As a soloist she has performed with Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (Taipei, Taiwan) and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra (China). She is also an avid chamber music player, and enjoys working with distinguished musicians from Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, and Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
Recent years Yang appeared in many notable concert series presented by Hong Kong government's Leisure and Cultural Service Department, including "Chopin Bicentenary" in 2010, "Debussy Sesquicentennial" in 2012, "Our Music Talent", and "City Hall Virtuosi" concert series. Earlier this year (2018) Yang appeared in the first Debussy Centenary Series concert at Music at Hill in London, UK.
Born in Pingtung, Taiwan, Yang moved to Hong Kong with her husband in 1994. She holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from City University of New York and the Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Manhattan School of Music, majoring in piano performance. She is a member of Hong Kong Piano Association and has been serving on the jury for several international and local piano competitions in Hong Kong. Yang is currently an adjunct piano teacher at the music department of Hong Kong Baptist University teaching piano and chamber music.
