WANG Chia-ming
Director
Graduated from the Department of Geography at National Taiwan University and the Graduate Institute of Theatre Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts, currently the leader of the Shakespeare’s Wild Sisters Group. His creations are characterized by complex forms that blend experimental and popular elements. Through these works, he collaborates with actors to explore, confront, and ponder the possibilities of theatrical performance. In 2018, his group was invited to the Tokyo Festival to present Café Lumière and in 2019 to the Festival d'Automne à Paris to present Dear Life, marking the first Taiwanese theatrical work in the festival’s 48-year history. In 2009, he was invited to direct the third segment of the World Games opening ceremony in Kaohsiung, and in 2014, he served as a juror for the 51st Golden Horse Awards’ film evaluation. From 2014 to 2016, he was the curator and ceremony director for the Golden Melody Award for Traditional Arts and Music.
