Rich HUANG

Rich HUANG is a jazz drummer, songwriter and composer for over half a century in the jazz music scene. His exceptional drumming skills have earned him the nickname "King of Drums in Taiwan," and in 2020, he was honored with the Special Contribution Award at the 31st Golden Melody Awards. Rich has been invited to perform at numerous jazz festivals both in Taiwan and abroad. His musical style spans across pop, classical, jazz, and traditional music genres. In the year 2000, he held a solo concert at the National Concert Hall as a solo jazz drum artist, marking the pinnacle of his solo career. He has also been involved in producing albums for domestic pop singers, with a recorded repertoire of over ten thousand singles. He has been committed to the promotion of jazz drum art for over four decades and currently serves as a part-time professor of Music Department at Fu Jen Catholic University and a senior consultant for the Taiwan Percussion Arts Alliance.
