LEE Wen-cheng sees his home country in a new light through his artistic work and aspires to transform the perceived tacky and local culture of Taiwan into an avant-garde symbol by experimenting with the diversified cultural elements of the island. In the pursuit of Taiwan independence with cultural approach, LEE wants to reidentify and connect with Taiwan arts with interests in issues like transitional justice, environment, animal rights and democracy. He is currently the Art Director for Haorih Creative Studio and Piànn-Tiûnn.
