Hiroki Kono

Japanese tenor Hiroki Kono is recognized for his elegant vocal line, expressive musicianship, and agile technique, with a particular affinity for the works of Mozart and Rossini. He made his operatic debut at the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theatre in Henze’s Das verratene Meer, conducted by Alejo Pérez and directed by Amon Miyamoto.
He gained widespread acclaim in Laurent Pelly’s 2024 production of Così fan tutte. He has also appeared as Count Libenskof in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival, where his performance was warmly received by critics.
Kono later continued his studies at the Accademia Lirica Osimo in Italy and has since appeared in numerous opera productions. He is a member of Tokyo Nikikai.
