CHANG Chih-yuan
Conductor
CHANG Chih-yuan holds a Master degree in Orchestral Conducting from The Juilliard School in New York, as well as a Bachelor degree in Music Performance and a Master degree in Percussion from Boston University. He has served as assistant conductor of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, a violinist with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. He is currently the Principal Conductor of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2023, he participated in the 5th Bucharest International Conducting Competition, where he won first prize and conducted Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica” with the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra at the winners’ concert to great acclaim. In 2025, he was invited to appear as a guest conductor with the Dinu Lipatti Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania, as well as the Arad State Philharmonic Orchestra and the Oradea State Philharmonic Orchestra.The international conducting masters who have deeply influenced him are Eliahu Inbal, John Axelrod, and Lan Shui .
