CHEN Wu-kang

Taiwanese dancer and choreographer CHEN Wu-kang was previously soloist and principal dancer at Eliot Feld’s Ballet Tech in New York from 2001 to 2013. He co-founded HORSE Dance Theatre in 2004, where he has served as artistic director. Recent works include Behalf; Thank You So Much for Your Time; Thank You So Much for Staying at Home; 14 (commissioned by Esplanade–Theatres on the Bay, Singapore); and Two Men, Ten Years Later. In addition, Dances for Wu-kang Chen, a collaboration between him and the French choreographer Jérôme Bel, was the winner of the Taishin Arts Award in performing arts in 2021.
