LAI Chueh-yu

Soprano LAI Chueh-yu graduated from the Department of Music at National Taiwan Normal University before earning a Master of Music degree from the Royal College of Music in London. In 2023, she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from National Taiwan Normal University.
Her operatic repertoire includes Verdi’s Rigoletto, Lehár’s Das Land des Lächelns, Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier, Puccini’s La bohème, Massenet’s Cendrillon, Song of Li-Shan, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus, Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Così fan tutte, Verdi’s Don Carlo, Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Bernstein’s Candide, Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La traviata, and Sleeping Beauty.
She has toured internationally in Italy, Japan, and Spain. LAI is a member of the NTCH Opera Studio and an honorary member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society.
