Katsuya Taniguchi

Katsuya Taniguchi graduated from the University of Tsukuba with a degree in Art and Design, where he studied video art and computer graphics under Yoichiro Kawaguchi. He began his career at Sega, working on game development and real-time graphics, and later helped launch Rhino Studio, where he developed the PlayStation 3 game Africa and began exploring VR/AR technologies around 2015.
Currently CTO and Art Director at Rhino Studio Inc., Taniguchi focuses on transforming imagination and information into real-time interactive experiences.
His recent projects include numerous VR/AR works, such as Prometheus Bound (dir. Meiro Koizumi, Grand Prize winner at the 24th Japan Media Arts Festival), The Ancient Lion and Modern Man (dir. GRINDER-MAN), and SEN (dir. Keisuke Itoh, Venice Immersive 2023 official selection).
