LIN Fang-yi
Composer& Music Design
Graduated in Composition from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. She was selected as the invited artist from Taiwan by the EU ART NETWORK. LIN prefers to develop series of works to deeply explore the artistic concepts, such as the Atypical Vocal Trilogy: Fallende Abschied, Der Qualm aud dem fernen Land, and The Infinite Consciousness. She has created various interdisciplinary works, such as Rustles in the Void which integrates Peking Opera, and Reading Music I: Let's Read Poetry! and Sketchbook of Heterotopia, which combine cross-disciplinary imagery.
In recent years, she founded the curation platform Studio Acht. Besides serving as the curator for the Weiwuying Contemporary Music Platform and co-curator for the 2022 Mattauw Earth Triennial, she is also dedicated to supporting young artists and developing creative projects. Her latest productions include the international co-production Liederzyklus and the innovative rap opera Falling into Dreams.
