LIN Chin-chao

Conductor

Born in 1987 in Taitung, Taiwan, LIN is currently the principal conductor and substitute general music director of Meininger Staatstheater in Germany. He is a member of the esteemed Deutsche Dirigentenforum of the German Music Council. LIN studied conducting under Prof. Martin Sieghart at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz, and later transferred to Zürich Hochschule der Künste with Prof. Johannes Schlaefli. He has participated in master classes led by renowned conductors including Kurt Masur, David Zinman, Günther Herbig, and Bernard Haitink. Notably, he was appointed co-conductor by Maestro Peter Eötvös for a performance of Ives's Fourth Symphony at Lucerne Festival.
