LIN Chin-chao

LIN Chin-chao is Music Director of the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra (Kärntner Sinfonieorchester) at Stadttheater Klagenfurt in Austria. From 2016 to 2018, he served as First Kapellmeister and Deputy General Music Director at Staatstheater Meiningen in Germany, where he conducted numerous opera and ballet productions. Between 2018 and 2022, he was General Music Director of Theater Regensburg, leading a wide-ranging operatic repertoire.
Lin graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and later earned an advanced performance diploma from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). He studied with Martin Sieghart and the renowned conducting pedagogue Johannes Schlaefli, and further refined his artistry through masterclasses with distinguished conductors including Bernard Haitink and Pierre Boulez. These experiences have shaped a conducting style marked by precision, insight, and expressive depth.
