LIN Ling-hui
Soprano
Studying under Italy-based Taiwanese soprano CHU Tai-li in Conservatorio di Musica di Brescia since 2001, LIN Ling-hui earned two Ph.D. degrees of vocal music and chamber music in 2007 and 2011 with honors. She has attended the Verona Eximia Forma workshop for years, where she studied the interpretation of operas with director Enrico Conforti.
LIN's live recording of four aboriginal lieders for CHIEN Nan-chang's album The Voices of Taiwan 8, cooperated with Taiwan National Symphony and Orchestra (NSO) in 2012, was nominated in the 24th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music. In addition, LIN has more superb opera performances, including her soprano solo in Verdi's Requiem during Taiwan International Festival of Arts in 2013. In 2012-2019, she cooperated with NSO, National Theater & Concert Hall and Weiwuying, playing the female leads in Puccini's operas, including Madama Butterfly, Manon Lescaut, Tosca and Turandot.
