KUO I-chen

Artistic

New media artist KUO I-chen earned an MFA from the Taipei National University of the Arts. His works explore disappearing belongingness and the floating state of the human spirit. In 2005, his installation Invade was included in the Taiwan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, making him the youngest artist to represent Taiwan at this prestigious event. In 2016, his picture book The Universe Lost a Baby Tooth received a Golden Tripod Award. The following year, 2017, he founded STUPIN, an artist studio residency platform. Kuo’s works have been exhibited in major art museums in Singapore, Sydney, and the US, as well as at Seoul International Media Art city Biennale and Germany’s ZKM.
