Italian baritone Lucio Gallo graduated with honors from the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Turin. A prizewinner at numerous national and international vocal competitions, he has appeared at many of the world’s leading opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, and La Monnaie.
Known for the breadth of his repertoire and dramatic versatility, Gallo has performed works ranging from Rossini and Mozart to Puccini, Wagner, Donizetti, Verdi, and contemporary composers. His extensive operatic repertoire includes Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, and Don Giovanni; Beethoven’s Fidelio; Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande; Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and La cenerentola; Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, L’elisir d’amore, and Lucia di Lammermoor; Puccini’s Tosca and La bohème; Verdi’s La traviata, Falstaff, and Rigoletto; Wagner’s Lohengrin and Der fliegende Holländer; and Berg’s Wozzeck.
