Max Cooper has carved a unique space as an audio-visual artist with a PhD in computational biology and an international reputation as a leading electronic musician. Since first breaking onto the music scene in 2007, he has merged electronic music and visual art with scientific enquiry through installations, live performance, immersive audio-visual experiences, a range of digital media and award-winning music videos. He has received commissions from the Barbican Centre in London, FranceTV, the AND& festival, and Zaha Hadid Architects, and was the first techno artist to play at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Established in 2016 , his label, Mesh, seeks to explore the intersection of music, art and science through cutting edge technologies such as AR, AI, VR, and NFTs.
